To enjoy the Chianti experience we suggest combining it with a visit to Florence, taking the panoramic Chiantigiana road that links Siena to the historic city of the Medici. The road crosses hills dotted with small villages, farmhouses and churches, and in the many restaurants scattered along the way you can taste some of the typical products of this area such as Chianti wine with its Etruscan origins, olive oil, cintasenese pork meat and salami, as well as wood-baked bread, all used in the typical dishes made in the rural tradition.
